how to get masses of affiliates

I'm trying to figure out how to get my affiliate program going. I need more affiliates and not exactly sure where to begin.

YOu should start out by listing your site in affiliate program directories. I have managed various affiliate marketing campaigns in the past and I would go out and try to recruit them by e-mail, phone, or however I could contact them. When you are not in a pre-existing network (like linkshare or CJ) it is significantly more challenging to recruit affiliates. Generally, you will not have as many. What you need to do is focus on websites that are related to what your affiliate program offers (in your case Florida Travel sites), and try to convince them that your affiliate program is worthwhile. Having a pay-per-lead and a pay-per-sale scheme should help you convince these people to join up, IMO.

The most important thing if you want affiliates to promote your product is to have something of real value. Something unique. Why would somebody promote your product over someone else's who has been around for longer has a better repuation, therefore inreasing the chances of making a sale?

Give them something they can believe they will be able to sell.

The best thing a affiliate could get is support from the product creator. I mean some companies give no support to their affiliates and they need to fugure out ways to promote the product. It's usually easier to promote the product when we have banners, pictures things like that.
