To promote any blog content one should do following things:

1) Write 100% original unique article
2) Use of proper tags
3) Submitting articles to social bookmarking and high PR directories.
4) Submit article to Yahoo, Bing and Google search engines.
5) Promote your article on forum, but not SPAM on forum.

Promotions are not limited to these only.

There are many ways to promote your blog. Here are some ways like you must have innovative ideas and design, connect your blog to Google+ or do blog marketing.

If we are going to promote our blog than we should also comment on others blog and leave with reference of our new blog post link. Because blogs also create a network circle from blog owners. If you will comment on others blog they will also comment on your blog.
