getting comments of blog approved ?

I do believe that blog commenting is a best way to get quality backlinks. However, it's very hard to get your comment approved specially when you put your website URL with your name.  There are a lot of meticulous blog author. However, I make sure that my comment is related to the topic being discussed and I try to be polite with the blog author by greeting them and saying Hi before I proceed with the comment.
