I am new in this matter.
Could somebody give a hint what domain parking is?

Domain parking is the registration of an Internet  domain name without using it for services such as e-mail or a website.
This may be done to reserve the domain name for future development, to protect against the possibility of cybersquatting, or to engage in cybersquatting.
Since the domain name registrar will have set name servers for the domain, the registrar or reseller potentially has use of the domain rather than the final registrant.

Domain parking is a practice where individuals or businesses register a domain name but do not use it for any specific purpose like a website or email. Instead, they "park" the domain and typically display advertisements on a temporary page, generating revenue from ad clicks or impressions. It is a way to monetize unused domain names while waiting to develop or sell them.

Domain parking is often used as a temporary solution for individuals or businesses who have registered a domain but have not yet decided how to use it. Rather than leaving the domain inactive, they park it by displaying advertisements on a default landing page. This allows them to generate some income while they figure out what to do with the domain. Domain parking services typically provide templates and automated systems that display relevant ads based on the keywords in the domain name. This practice can be beneficial for domain owners in terms of generating revenue, especially if the domain receives a substantial amount of traffic. Additionally, some investors or speculators purchase domains solely with the intention of parking them to later sell at a higher price to interested buyers.

In addition to generating revenue through advertisements, domain parking can also serve other purposes.

Firstly, it can act as a placeholder or "coming soon" page for a future website. Instead of leaving the domain completely empty, domain owners can park it with minimal content and contact information to give visitors an idea of what to expect in the future.

Secondly, domain parking can be used for testing purposes. For example, if someone is considering different website concepts or designs, they can park the domain and test various ideas without fully committing to one. This allows them to gauge user feedback and make informed decisions before investing significant time and resources into developing the actual website.

Thirdly, domain parking can also be used as part of a branding strategy. Some companies or individuals may register multiple domains related to their brand or business name. By parking these domains, they ensure that no one else can use those domains to misrepresent or dilute their brand.

Overall, domain parking offers flexibility and potential income generation options for domain owners while they decide on their next steps for a particular domain.
