Definitely g+ is going to put its affect on FB and might be cause for the drop in traffic of FB.  As now google is planning to use the g+ for getting the more relevant data from it and provide to the user. And also due to the business platform g+ will get the huge traffic than FB in future.

I agreed that Google is best as search engine but this doesn't mean that all of its products are too good.
Facebook having a huge fan-following, google+ took ages to beat that fan-following.
