Fix your website first to a true seller!
Ditch your free host and free address, work on your colors...Just give it a makeover...so potential consumers see you under a better shape and not driven away.

As a successful webmistress myself I can honestly say that we admin's only have 3 seconds to drag the consumer into "wanting" to browse more, otherwise we loose them. Traffic will do any good, if you don't make any sales. so just take my advice if you want to succeed.
Don't forget to monetize your idea with Google ads or Yahoo.

you're going to have to do both on page and off page optimization.  off page is necessary, like link strategies, but it needs to be coupled with onpage so that when spiders crawl your site, it reaffirms the offpage strategies.

startup with rss submissions ,blog commenting and forum posting,then try yahoo answers and wiki answers,then also mix few backlinks from article and pdf directories...Also try web 2.0 link wheel and some edu backlinks from academia.edu and educause .edu..You can write post on these 2 websites and get contextual backlinks then when you reach close to first rankings then it will be dificult to rely on these backlinks..so go for 1 guest post a week and try to ask your fellow bloggers to write a review about your blog in one of their post with your link..hope I have helped you..
