When you create a page on sites.google.com and include a link to your website, it is indeed considered a backlink. However, it's important to understand that not all backlinks are treated equally by search engines like Google.

While backlinks from sites.google.com are valuable, they are not directly equivalent to backlinks from Google itself. Search engines consider various factors when evaluating backlinks, including the authority and relevance of the linking site, the context surrounding the link, and the anchor text used.

So, while obtaining a backlink from sites.google.com is beneficial, it doesn't carry the same weight as a backlink from a high-quality, authoritative website. To enhance your website's search engine rankings, it's essential to focus on acquiring diverse backlinks from reputable and relevant sources. Diversifying your backlink profile in this manner can provide a more significant impact on your website's visibility and authority.
