I actually agree if the traffic you gathered are natural or not illegal because google have an analyzer all the traffic gathered. Content also is a big factor to increase the rank in any search engine. It should be unique and have the quality.

Simply said:

Yes, traffic most certainly does effect your page rank.

It is important to have traffic in order to increase your rankings

Once visitors are on your site, it is also important for them to engage with it, this too helps with site rankings.  its much better for a visitor to land on your site and use it than to "bounce" right off.

Best of luck!

hi friend,

you should not click by yourself bunch of times in your website. it can not boost your rank site.
You can use social media to drive traffic to your website.

Google really don't like that. It's smart enough to realize you treating.
So..stop that action if you don't want your site go to hell.

Google only measures impressions, and also the click through their own search engine, which the traffic-ability would be slanted per se, since it is only coming from one source

I recently read the book called "In the Plex" which describes the creation of Google.  One of the things I found fascinating was how they used user data.  So, if your site was clicked on multiple times on a Google search AND if users stayed on the site then Google ranks it better.  They called it a "short click" vs a "long click".

With that being said, my guess is that the exposure on Dragon's Den brought with it a bunch of links.  There are people who write blogs that only talk about that show.  I'm guessing the influx of links caused the increased ranking and this is great news because when the traffic buzz dies down, the links will still be there!

Although the total amount of traffic isn't going to influence your search rankings, traffic does play a significant role in where your website appears in search results. It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that the more popular your site is, the bette

It's a form of click fraud, which is against Google's terms of service. It's like trying to cheat on an exam by looking at your neighbor's paper. Sure, you might get a better grade, but it's not a genuine reflection of your knowledge, and you could get caught and punished.
