Yeah I actually am unsure where to find these facts about the engine?  probably a google search haha.  One secret I would like to know in particular is how do their bots crawl new sites when it cannot find backlinks to it, will this mean it's never crawled until submitted or has a backlink somewhere?

Another thing is the Search Engine changes a slight bit everyday and keeps getting better, sometimes this means throwing out old strategies for SEO

While Google does not disclose the complete details of its search engine algorithm for various reasons, including maintaining the competitiveness of its technology, it has provided some insights over the years.

Google's search engine primarily relies on algorithms that use a combination of factors to determine the ranking of web pages. These factors include relevance, user experience, page quality, and authority. Relevance refers to how well a web page's content matches a given search query. User experience takes into account factors like website loading speed and mobile-friendliness. Page quality focuses on the overall trustworthiness and credibility of the content, while authority considers the reputation and popularity of the website.

To improve search engine optimization (SEO), it's generally recommended to focus on providing high-quality content that is relevant to the user's search intent. This includes optimizing keywords, ensuring your website is accessible and user-friendly, and building a reputable online presence through quality backlinks and social signals.

While there are many best practices and strategies that can potentially improve your website's visibility on search engines, the specific details and weightings of these factors remain largely unknown due to Google's algorithm being constantly updated and refined. It's important to stay informed about industry trends and experiment with different techniques to enhance your SEO efforts.

Here are a few additional points to consider in relation to SEO and understanding Google's search engine:

1. Content is King: Google places a strong emphasis on high-quality and relevant content. Creating valuable, informative, and engaging content that satisfies user intent is crucial for SEO success.

2. Keywords and Intent: Understanding the keywords and search intent behind queries is important. Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant terms and phrases to optimize your content accordingly.

3. On-Page Optimization: Optimizing your web pages with relevant titles, meta descriptions, headers, and internal links can help search engines understand your content better and improve your chances of ranking higher.

4. Backlinks and Authority: Building high-quality backlinks from reputable websites can improve your website's authority and credibility. However, remember that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to backlinks.

5. User Experience: Ensuring a positive user experience is essential for SEO. This includes having a fast-loading website, mobile responsiveness, intuitive navigation, and clear call-to-actions.

6. Technical SEO: Pay attention to technical aspects such as crawlability, site structure, XML sitemaps, schema markup, and proper URL structures. Optimizing these elements can enhance your website's visibility on search engines.

7. User Engagement: User signals such as click-through rates, time on page, bounce rate, and social shares can indirectly impact your SEO rankings. Encourage user engagement to signal to search engines that your content is valuable.

more points to consider regarding SEO and Google's search engine:

1. Site Speed: Google places a high value on fast-loading websites. Optimizing your website's speed by compressing images, reducing server response time, and using caching techniques can help improve your search rankings.

2. Mobile-Friendliness: With the majority of internet users accessing websites on mobile devices, having a mobile-friendly website is crucial. Google considers mobile-friendliness as a ranking factor, so make sure your site is responsive and provides an optimal experience on smaller screens.

3. Structured Data: Implementing structured data markup, such as Schema.org, can enhance how search engines understand and display your content. It can help improve your visibility in search results and enable rich snippets like product reviews, recipes, and events.

4. Local SEO: If you have a local business, optimizing for local search can be beneficial. This includes creating a Google My Business listing, ensuring consistent NAP (name, address, phone) information across directories, and encouraging online reviews.

5. E-A-T: Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-A-T) are essential considerations for page quality. Establishing yourself as an authority in your field through expert content, credible sources, and a strong online reputation can positively impact your SEO efforts.

6. User Intent and Featured Snippets: Understanding user intent behind search queries and optimizing your content to provide concise and comprehensive answers can increase your chances of being featured in Google's rich snippets or answer boxes, which can boost visibility and traffic.

7. Social Media Signals: While not a direct ranking factor, social media signals can indirectly impact SEO. Sharing your content on social media platforms can increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and potentially generate backlinks from authoritative sources.

few more points to consider regarding SEO and Google's search engine:

1. User-Generated Content: Encouraging user-generated content, such as reviews and comments, can positively impact your SEO efforts. It adds fresh content to your website, increases engagement, and helps build a sense of community.

2. Site Architecture: Ensuring a logical and organized site structure can make it easier for search engines to crawl and understand your website. Use hierarchical navigation, optimize your URL structure, and create XML sitemaps to improve indexability.

3. Semantic Search: Google uses semantic search to understand the context and meaning behind user queries. Instead of focusing solely on specific keywords, consider using related terms and natural language in your content to improve relevance and user experience.

4. Local and Voice Search Optimization: With the growing popularity of voice search and local search queries, optimizing your website for these trends can help improve visibility. Consider using long-tail keywords, creating location-specific content, and optimizing for featured snippets.

5. Core Web Vitals: Starting from June 2021, Google has introduced Core Web Vitals as ranking factors. These metrics include page loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability. Optimizing these aspects of your website can help improve user experience and potentially boost rankings.

6. User Behavior Signals: User behavior signals such as click-through rates, dwell time (time spent on a page), and bounce rate can provide insights into how users engage with your website. Analyzing and improving these signals can help enhance your SEO efforts.

7. Continuous Monitoring and Adaptation: SEO is an ongoing process that requires monitoring, analysis, and adaptation. Regularly review your website's performance, track keyword rankings, analyze traffic sources, and make necessary adjustments to your SEO strategy.

True.  It has to be consistent of course.  If we lose the race, we are pushed back again.
