Good morning,
I work on SEO for e-commerce sites on the US market.
Since September 2022, American Google has been filled with shopping SERPs (which are indeed organic results)
I have many qustions:
How to appear most often on these serps?
How to measure the number of clicks and the number of times a site appears on these serps?
Have you noticed a drop in click-through rates on your collections pages?

I have the impression that on e-commerce queries there are only these shopping SERPs in the US

These serps do not yet exist on the European market.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

ps: I am French and our Google results are very different

Product Listings: Retailers and e-commerce websites can create product listings in Google Merchant Center, providing details like product images, prices, and availability.

Ad Campaigns: Merchants can set up Google Ads campaigns specifically for Shopping. They bid on relevant keywords, and Google displays their product listings when users search for those keywords.

Product Display: When a user searches for a product, Google displays relevant product listings at the top of the search results, often in a visually appealing format that includes product images, prices, and store names.

Click and Purchase: Users can click on these product listings to view more details and, if interested, make a purchase directly on the retailer's website.

Cost-Per-Click (CPC): Advertisers are typically charged on a CPC basis, meaning they pay when users click on their product listings. The competition and bid amount influence the visibility of their products in Google Shopping results.

Thankyou for your feedback,

I'm talking specifically about these shopping serps.
They only exist on the US and Japanese market.
We don't have that in European markets.

How do you measure clicks on search console to see the clicks of these serps? Maybe you go directly to the merchen center

What do you prioritize to appear on these SERPs: structured data or your listings in the merchent center?

(ps here is the site I use to observe the different Googles: https://www.brightlocal.com/local-search-results-checker/)

Thankyou for your feedback!

Google SERP Shopping works by displaying sponsored product listings at the top of the search results page, allowing users to compare and purchase products directly within the search interface.

With Google SERP Shopping, users can explore and compare products directly within the search results. It streamlines the shopping process by providing product details, prices, and reviews. Google Merchant Center allows merchants to upload product data, which enables Google to display relevant products when users search.

On GSC, what are differences between Product results, Product snippets and Merchant listings
  •

Digi ecommerce

Google Shopping uses a specialized search engine to display product listings from various online retailers.
Users can search for specific products and compare prices, reviews, and features directly within the search results.
Retailers provide product data to Google through Merchant Center, which is then displayed in Google Shopping results.
Ads in Google Shopping are based on a combination of bid amount, relevance, and quality of the product data provided by the retailer.

Google SERP Shopping displays product listings directly in search results, making it easy for users to compare prices and features. Merchants upload product data to Google Merchant Center, and Google ranks listings based on relevance and ad bids. Users can click on an offer to view details or purchase directly.
