Stop searching for a delete button and setup a 301 redirect hook instead. This maps the old path to the new URI, merging indexing signals. It ensures the crawler updates its cache without losing your traffic or authority.

Have you applied 301 redirection?  Through 301 redirection redirect the old link to new link and submit the new permalink into the URL inspection tool on Google search console. In few days , Google will index the new page. Also you can remove old URL through search console.
