Here's a quick guide on how I do it using a tool called RobotAlp.

Step 1: Create a Free Uptime Monitor


First, you need a monitor to show on your page. Sign up for a free account at RobotAlp and create a simple Uptime Monitor for your main website URL. This only takes a minute and will be the source of your uptime data.

Step 2: Create a New Status Page

In the left-hand menu of your dashboard, click on "Status Pages" and then the "+ New Statuspage" button. Give your page a name (e.g., "My SaaS Status") and a subdomain (e.g., mystatus.robotalp.com).

Step 3: Add Your Monitor to the Page

After creating the page, click the edit icon. Go to the "Monitors" tab. You will see a dropdown list with the monitor you created in Step 1. Select it and click "Add." You can also give it a friendly public name like "Main Website & API."

Step 4: Save and You're Done!

Click "Save," and that's it! You now have a live, public status page showing your website's uptime history. It's a great way to build trust with your users, and it costs nothing to set up.
