Do no-follow backlinks have any impact on increasing the keyword ranking of a website? Suppose, a no-follow link built is shown in the webmasters in "Links to Your Site", even then is it of zero value?
Many image-sharing website gives no-follow backlinks. Can we do image sharing to gain traffic to our website if they are no-follow links?

No-follow backlinks do not directly impact the keyword ranking of a website, as search engines like Google do not pass PageRank through these links. However, no-follow links can still have value in other ways.

When a no-follow link is shown in the "Links to Your Site" section in Google Search Console, it means that Google has discovered and acknowledged the link. While this type of link may not directly contribute to keyword ranking, it can still potentially drive referral traffic to your website, especially if the source of the link is reputable and relevant to your content.

Regarding image-sharing websites, gaining traffic to your website from no-follow backlinks is certainly possible. Image sharing can help in increasing visibility and attracting potential visitors who might be interested in the content on your website. While these no-follow links may not provide direct SEO benefits, they can still contribute to your website's overall online presence and traffic generation.

No-follow backlinks are hyperlinks with a rel="nofollow" HTML tag attached to them. This tag instructs search engines not to pass any equity or influence from the linking page to the linked page. While no-follow backlinks don't directly affect keyword ranking, they still offer several potential benefits:

1. Referral Traffic: Even though no-follow links don't directly impact search engine rankings, they can drive valuable referral traffic to your website if placed on high-traffic and relevant platforms.

2. Brand Visibility: No-follow backlinks from reputable websites can increase brand visibility and exposure to a wider audience, potentially leading to more brand recognition and customer engagement.

3. Diversification of Backlink Profile: A natural backlink profile includes a mix of no-follow and do-follow links. Having a diverse link profile can signal to search engines that your website is authoritative and trustworthy.

4. Protection from Penalties: By using no-follow tags appropriately (e.g., for sponsored content or user-generated links), website owners can help protect their site from potential search engine penalties associated with manipulative link building.

In summary, while no-follow backlinks may not directly contribute to SEO rankings, they can still deliver value in terms of referral traffic, brand visibility, and overall backlink profile diversity.

no follow doesn't count as back link to the site from search engine but it can be helpful as an traffic generate source if it's come from high pr sites. The idea behind a no follow link is that a search engine will not click through a link flagged as such. A nofollow link can be good or bad depending on the context of how it is utilized.

Recently I read about the Hidden power of Nofollow link  :'( and your : Nofollow links may actually pass value.

A site's propensity to follow or nofollow. If *every* link is nofollowed (Twitter, Wikipedia, etc.) than Google must be willing and able to ignore nofollows.
A link's relevance to the linking page
The linking site's quality (aka Trust)
The quality of the site being linked to

"I think that nofollow is meant to say Google that webmaster is not ready to share his page's Page Rank with that particular linked page. But Google can give some value to the linked page without taking it from linking page."

No-follow links do impact the website ranking as many of them are indexed by the search engines. They also help to drive a good amount of traffic. So, you cannot say that they are useless.

A nofollow tag is a basic piece of html. Appended to a hyperlink, it allows webmasters to control whether search engines follow a link or not. While a nofollow link is ignored, but popular social networking site like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace sites are nofollow, but they do provide a lot of other benefits.

A no-follow backlink is basically a link that does not pass on the SEO benefits of the source site to the blog where the link points to. In short, no-follow links do not have any SEO value at all, and they will not add up to the link profile that search engines use to evaluate when ranking websites.
