Directory submission was a nice tool once for link building. I am wondering does directory submission still works or not in search engine optimization? If yes then what is the best way to submit in directory sites?

directory submission can still have some value if approached strategically. Submitting to relevant and reputable directories can help in establishing a website's authority within a specific niche

Hi Alex Jones thank you for replying to my question. I think submitting my website to directories with reciprocal link would be more appropriate than submitting free link as free link takes so much time for submission?

Directory submission can still be useful if done strategically. Submitting to relevant and reliable directories can help a website establish its authority within a given niche.

Directory submission can still be a valuable tactic for improving a website's online visibility and search engine rankings. However, its effectiveness has diminished over time due to changes in search engine algorithms. While directory submissions may provide some SEO benefits, they should be considered as part of a broader digital marketing strategy rather than a standalone technique.

The value of directory submission has decreased because search engine algorithms now prioritize content relevance and quality of backlinks over quantity. While niche directories can still provide targeted visibility, major search engines now focus on natural, organic link-building and authoritative content.

"Directory submission can still be a valuable part of an overall SEO strategy, but its importance has diminished compared to other techniques. Here's our perspective:

Quality over Quantity: Focus on submitting to high-quality, reputable directories that are relevant to your industry. Avoid low-quality directories that might be seen as spammy by search engines.
Local SEO: For local businesses, submitting to local directories (such as Google My Business, Yelp, and industry-specific directories) can improve local search visibility and drive targeted traffic.
Niche Relevance: Submitting to niche-specific directories can help build relevant backlinks and improve your site's authority within your specific industry.
Supplemental Strategy: Use directory submissions as part of a broader SEO strategy that includes content marketing, social media engagement, and technical SEO.
At our Digital Marketing Training Institute in Pune, we teach our students the best practices for directory submission, emphasizing the importance of focusing on quality, relevance, and integration with a comprehensive SEO strategy."
