Now search engines do not prefer only back link. Then expect informative content from content writer. I can say Link Building is not dead, only method has changed. Indeed, the approach to link building has evolved over time. Search engines now place more emphasis on high-quality, authoritative backlinks rather than simply the quantity of links. They favor links that are organically earned through informative content and genuine engagement.

Instead of solely focusing on exchanging links, it's crucial to create valuable content that naturally attracts backlinks. This can be achieved by producing well-researched articles, engaging visuals, or unique resources that other websites find worth linking to.

Moreover, link building should be viewed as a part of an overall SEO strategy, which includes various other aspects such as optimizing site structure, improving user experience, and crafting compelling meta tags. These factors contribute to better search engine rankings and increased organic traffic.

additional points to consider:

1. Natural Link Building: Instead of actively seeking link exchanges or engaging in manipulative tactics, it's important to focus on earning high-quality backlinks naturally. This can be achieved through producing valuable and shareable content that others naturally want to link to.

2. Guest Blogging: Guest blogging is another effective method for link building. By contributing high-quality articles to reputable websites in your industry, you can earn backlinks while also establishing yourself as an authority in your field.

3. Influencer Collaborations: Collaborating with influencers or thought leaders in your niche can help you gain exposure and build high-quality backlinks. By creating content together or receiving endorsements from influencers, you can attract links from their followers and increase your online visibility.

4. Broken Link Building: This technique involves finding broken links on relevant websites and offering to replace them with your own content. It's a win-win situation where you help website owners fix broken links, and in return, they provide you with a valuable backlink.

5. Social Media Promotion: While social media signals may not directly impact search engine rankings, they can indirectly influence your link building efforts. By promoting your content on social media platforms, you increase its visibility, making it more likely to be shared and linked to by others.

6. Local Link Building: For businesses targeting a specific geographical area, local link building can be highly beneficial. This involves getting backlinks from local directories, chamber of commerce websites, local news publications, or community organizations.

7. Resource Link Building: Creating valuable resources such as guides, tutorials, or industry reports can attract backlinks from websites looking to provide their audience with authoritative and helpful information. Reach out to relevant websites and offer your resource as a reference or tool for their readers.

8. Building Relationships: Building relationships within your industry can lead to natural link opportunities. By networking with other professionals, participating in online communities, and attending industry events, you increase your chances of being mentioned or linked to by others.

9. Content Promotion: Even if you have created excellent content, it won't gain backlinks automatically. Actively promote your content through various channels like email outreach, social media campaigns, and collaborations with influencers or industry experts. This can help increase its visibility and the likelihood of earning backlinks.

10. Monitor and Disavow: Regularly monitor your backlink profile to identify any low-quality or spammy links pointing to your website. If you find any harmful links, use Google's Disavow Tool to signal to search engines that you do not want those links to be considered when evaluating your site's authority.

11. Expert Contributions: Seek opportunities to contribute as an expert in your industry to reputable publications, podcasts, or webinars. This can earn you valuable backlinks from highly authoritative sources.

12. Internal Linking: Don't overlook the power of internal linking within your own website. Strategically linking relevant pages and content within your site helps search engines understand the hierarchy and relevance of your content while also improving user navigation.

13. Monitor Competitors: Keep an eye on your competitors' backlink profiles to identify potential link building opportunities. If they have earned backlinks from industry websites, there's a chance you can secure similar links by reaching out to those same sources with unique and valuable content.

14. Online PR and Press Releases: Utilize online PR strategies to gain exposure and attract backlinks from media outlets or industry-specific publications. Consider distributing press releases about significant milestones, product launches, or newsworthy events related to your business.

15. Content Syndication: Partner with reputable websites that allow content syndication to reach a wider audience. Syndicated content can include a link back to your original article or website, helping to enhance your brand visibility and attract more backlinks.

16. Monitor and Analyze: Regularly monitor your website's performance, including backlink acquisition and organic search traffic. Use tools like Google Search Console or third-party SEO platforms to analyze the impact of your link building efforts and make data-driven decisions.

17. Local Partnerships: Collaborate with local businesses or organizations to cross-promote each other's websites or products/services. This can lead to mutually beneficial backlink opportunities and increased visibility within your local community.

18. Testimonials and Reviews: Offer testimonials or reviews for products or services that you have used and found valuable. Many websites will credit you with a backlink in return for your feedback, especially if you're an authority in your field.

19. Skyscraper Technique: Identify popular content in your industry and create something even better. Reach out to websites that have linked to the original content and let them know about your improved version. This technique can help you secure high-quality backlinks.

20. Social Bookmarking: Submit your best content to social bookmarking sites like Reddit, StumbleUpon, or Digg. If your content gains traction and becomes popular on these platforms, it can attract attention from other websites, resulting in backlinks.

21. Industry Interviews: Conduct interviews with influential individuals in your industry and publish them on your website or blog. Not only does this add valuable content to your website, but it also increases the likelihood of those individuals sharing the interview and linking back to it.

22. Link Reclamation: Identify mentions of your brand or website online that don't include a backlink and reach out to the website owner to request a link. This can help capitalize on existing brand mentions and turn them into valuable backlinks.

23. User-Generated Content: Encourage your website visitors or customers to create content related to your brand, such as testimonials, reviews, or case studies. This not only adds credibility to your website but also provides opportunities for others to link back to your site when referencing their content.

24. Expert Roundups: Participate in expert roundup posts where multiple industry experts share their insights on a specific topic. These types of posts often include links back to the contributors' websites, providing valuable backlink opportunities.

25. Infographics and Visual Content: Create visually appealing infographics or other visual content that can be easily shared and embedded on other websites. This type of content tends to attract more backlinks and social shares.

26. HARO (Help a Reporter Out): Sign up for HARO and respond to relevant queries from journalists and reporters. If your response gets included in an article, you'll usually receive a backlink to your website as a source.

27. Podcast Interviews: Seek opportunities to be interviewed on podcasts related to your industry. Podcast hosts often provide backlinks to the guest's website in the show notes or episode description.

28. Forum and Community Participation: Engage in relevant online forums, communities, or social media groups where you can contribute valuable insights and participate in discussions. Over time, this can help you establish yourself as an authority and attract backlinks from other members.

29. Sponsored Content and Partnerships: Consider sponsoring events, conferences, or industry websites that align with your brand. In return, you may receive backlinks and increased visibility within your target audience.

30. Evergreen Content: Create evergreen content that remains relevant and valuable over a long period. This type of content is more likely to accumulate backlinks over time as it continues to provide value to readers.

I don't think link building is dead but the strategy has been little bit change. You need to adapt the latest techniques when you are doing link building. Now Google put more important on the authority and quality of a website. So quality and high PR backlinks can enhance your current search engine rank. Always focus on quality rather than quantity when doing link building.

a good way to get audience for blog for exemple is to write "invited article" : you propose one article to a good blog in the same theme as yours, he will post it on his website with link to your site and name. for him : free new content. for you , because his site is big and have a lot of visitor and if your article is good enough, you will get a large part of the lectors coming on your own site to read more of you.

While I have continued to work hard on adding new content, I have spent more time this year faffing around with trying to keep Google happy than I should have. I would like to get back to concentrating on adding content. Not worrying about back links and other things that Google no longer like.
