An outbound link, also called an external link, is a link from your website to a different website. An outbound link for you is an inbound link for someone else. If a link takes readers to another page on the same website, it's called an internal link.
Hope this helps.

I am well acquainted about inbound links but I don't have much knowledge of outbound links. So if anybody knows about outbound links then please let me know.

Hello,

"Outbound links are not as important for your website's SEO as backlinks, but they are important when it comes to blogging! ... If they link to poor quality websites or sites that contain spam and ads, they will hurt your SEO rather than improve it. SEO Factors of outbound links. Trustworthiness matters."

Outbound links are when you put a link to an external site on your blog page or website instead of a link to your website (a backlink). Outbound links aren't as vital as backlinks for your website's SEO, but they are crucial for blogging!

Outbound links are links that point from your website to another. They are often used within content to add more context and to link a reader to another source that will add additional and important information to the topic at hand.

By linking to high-traffic websites, you can tap into their audience and drive traffic to your own site.

It's like a digital game of telephone, where you pass on the message to your audience and reap the benefits. But, be warned, the key to success lies in finding the right balance between quality and quantity. Link to too many low-quality sites, and you'll end up with a website that's as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Totally get you—outbound links are just the links you place on your website that point to other websites. They're useful for providing additional value or citing sources, and when done right (linking to trustworthy, relevant sites), they can actually boost your credibility and even SEO a bit. Just avoid linking to spammy or low-quality sites, and it's always a good idea to have them open in a new tab so people don't fully leave your page.
