I would recommend you to just focus on blog commenting for link benefit. Your efforts would be consider blog commenting spam because the sole purpose of doing this to get links using rich anchor text. Rather than focusing old school techniques you should think out of the box. This is the time to earn links not build them through these spam techniques which won't work now.
