I am little confused about external linking. Is this good or not? If yes then please let me know that why we should do that?

External linking helps you less in improving your reputation. Because, in case of external linking you are pointing to some other domain... which means you are giving your vote of authority to other site.

But you have to be very careful while creating external links. If you are voting to a spammy website... search engine won't like it.

I don't think it is helpful.. I haven't heard of anyone who is using it anyway..

External linking is the practice of placing hyperlinks on your website that lead to other websites. It is generally considered to be a good and beneficial practice for several reasons:

1. Improved credibility: By linking to reputable and authoritative sources, you can enhance the credibility and trustworthiness of your content. It shows that your website is well-researched and provides additional resources for your audience.

2. Increased engagement: External links provide additional information and resources that your audience may find valuable. This can help keep them engaged with your content and encourage them to explore related topics further.

3. Better user experience: When you link to relevant external sources, you improve the overall user experience by providing users with more comprehensive information. This can make your website a more helpful and reliable resource.

4. SEO benefits: External links can also have positive effects on your search engine optimization (SEO). Search engines like Google consider external links to be signals of trust and authority, which can help improve your website's rankings in search results.

However, it is important to use external linking responsibly and appropriately. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

- Ensure the linked websites are reliable and trustworthy.
- Link to relevant and authoritative sources that add value to your content.
- Avoid excessive linking, as it can be seen as spammy or manipulative.
- Use proper anchor text that accurately describes the linked content.

By practicing responsible external linking, you can provide a better user experience, enhance your website's credibility, and potentially improve your SEO.

I don't do link exchange for my sites. but i think, it depends, if someone with a high rank links to you, your ranking rises and if someone with a low rank links to you, it can make your rank drop.
