Besides content rewrite what else can be done fight duplicity issue?

There are true, near and cross domain duplicates for website content and there are many ways to deal with them. Though I always recommend changing the entire content on the page, I would like to know if there is any less tedious method to fight content duplicity. Besides content rewrite what else can be done fight duplicity issue?

While creating original content is always the best way to ensure your site's uniqueness, it might not always be feasible or efficient. There are several other ways to manage and reduce content duplicity on your website:

Canonical Tags: Use canonical tags to tell search engines which is the "original" page if you have duplicate content across your site. The canonical tag passes the same amount of link juice (ranking power) as a 301 redirect, and often takes much less development time to implement.

301 Redirects: If you have completely identical pages but on different URLs, consider implementing 301 redirects from the duplicates to the original content. This tells search engines that the page has permanently moved, and it will transfer most of the old page's ranking power to the new page.

Meta Robots Noindex: You can use a meta robots tag with the "noindex" value on duplicate pages to tell search engines not to index these pages. Be careful though, as this will mean the page won't appear in search results at all.

Parameter Handling in Google Search Console: If the duplicated content is being caused by URL parameters (such as sort order or items per page in an e-commerce setting), you can tell Google how to handle these in Google Search Console.

Improve Internal Linking Structure: Ensure that each piece of content on your site is linked to from somewhere else on your site, making it easier for search engines to understand the structure and importance of content on your site.

Add More Unique Content: While this doesn't avoid the issue of having duplicate content, by adding more unique content on-page you can decrease the overall percentage of duplicated content.

Use Hreflang for Language and Regional URLs: If your site is multilingual and contains content that's duplicated across different languages, use the hreflang tag. This tells Google which language you're using on a specific page so the search engine can serve that result to users searching in that language.

Use Product Reviews for Unique Content: If your website contains product pages and you're struggling with duplicate content because the product descriptions are identical across multiple sites, try to add unique content in the form of user-generated product reviews. This not only adds unique content to the page, but it also provides additional value for users.

Avoid Appending Session IDs to URLs: Some websites append session ID data to the end of URLs. This can lead to duplicate content issues. Instead, it's better to track session data using cookies.
