Still i am not getting any traffic from my press release, is that really helps to increase to your traffic?

Press release distribution is certainly not a good idea. Most of the time, editors even do not bother to read your PR even once.
But if your really want to make your PR submission a success, its better to choose a paid service. At least these people know some good sources of getting your PR published. But do not expect wonders out of it.

Press release is basically about the news related to services and events of company. But you are not supposed to submit same Press Release again and again in different high pr sites. Submit 1 press release in maximum 5 sites. Write an effective headline for your press release, because headline plays an important role in PR distribution.

But the truth is, they were not able to compete because they have crappy press releases. So better check the readability or your press release and how you constructed it. Also remember that press release writing is far more different that writing an ordinary article.
