Rel= Use for link

I want know about Rel= what this mean
If rel=nofollow then its link coming from site is no follow but If Rel= void and link then what the meaning of this is this follow or no follow.  ???

In HTML, the rel attribute is used to specify the relationship between the linked dоcument and the current dоcument. When the rel attribute is set to "nofollow," it indicates to search engines not to follow the link or give it any weight in terms of search engine rankings.

However, if the rel attribute is left void (i.e., no value is specified), it means that by default, the link is considered to be a regular followable link. Search engines will typically follow such links and consider them for ranking purposes.

rel= - and then nothing - it's coding mistake. How the browsers would read it... have no idea. Most would probably ignore it. And anyway why do you use strting operator if you don't want to define something inside?!?
