Yes, you are correct.  Twitter is best for backlinks too.  There are reviews about making money through twitter and facebook.  I have not tried yet though.  Did you ever try making some money through facebook?

I prefer Facebook, because there are many real friends there who are really potentially willing to click my posted links –because of curiousity and also needs of the information. Twitter loads much slower and it's down too often –in my opinion.
