Need information on ISP FDCservers.net

I have registered as a reseller with one service provider whose ISP trace to FDCservers.net, I have some basic question to clarify.

Does it mean they have an VPS or dedicated hosting with FDCservers.net and are providing me a reseller hosting, Is the uptime of my website related to the uptime of FDCservers.net and nothing to do with my service provider.
