How to creat a form to stop the spammers?

Hello everyone,

I want to creat a way to prevent the spammers to exploit my website. I think the best way is to add a form field. Automated spambots would be stopped away. I don't know how to write the contents of the field. Is there a simple method to do this. Any input would be appeciate.
