Facebook or twitter?

Which social networking site do you prefer facebook or twitter as a way gettting traffic?..i prefer twitter as it is more moderate towards advertisement than facebook....

I don't have a preference for one or the other. I use them in conjunction with one another.

Most of my Twitter followers seem to be SEO or purely business related. Most of my Facebook contacts (I have nearly 2500 "friends") are from a dance community where I am active. They come from all walks of life and don't fit into any one category other than the style of dance that we have in common.

I run a lot of small business websites and do their SEO/marketing. Whenever we have a new page or publish an article or blog post of value, I Tweet it. My Tweets automatically update my status. It does drive traffic.

I've found them both to be pretty useless .Twitter is definitely more spammy that's for sure. Facebook works but as soon as you try to use at as a business promotion tool I think it suffers from the same problems as twitter!

Twitter is just a fad, however It's worked well for me when promoting twitter related products. I wonder why eh

I think facebook, because if you consider you have not just an normal account, but also a big fanpage (obviously: targeted people!) you can monetize this one the best!

And to your second question: I think twitter seems to be (in my opinion) the most difficult to manage, because twitter get´s spammed by thousands of marketers, that post thousands of spammy tweets or send you their spam - DM´s when you follow them. The people on twitter are highly annoyed by this, therefore most of them unfollow you when you begin to spam or report you as well. Or they simply ignore you. Basically in twitter it´s alot more difficult to get targeted people and getting their attention. Whereas on facebook you´ll have their attention if they joined your group or fanpage.

I like Twitter, mainly because it is easier.  Facebook has so much STUFF on it! With Twitter I sign in, Tweet and sign off.  I get updated on my phone, and I don't get Poked!

Facebook and youtube work best for me. From these 2 sites I get 300 unique visit daily .
