Its been a while since ive been a webmaster but back in my day you could literally get on the front page of google with a keyword only domain. For example, if you wanted on the front page of google for make money online, all you needed to do was own makemoneyonline.com and you'd get it regardless of how new the website was.

But that's obvious digression. The most important aspect of forums is the social aspect, essentially connecting with people who have interest that potentially align with yours. Now much like everything else in life, when you're first starting out, you're going to have to go get it. Direct message people if they have it enabled and let them know hey im building a new website and would be interested in doing a guest blog posts etc. Provide a domain with your content and if its any good, you'll get some interest.

A lot of responses here are saying do it for backlinks. Thats called spamming and its trash. A lot of the answers here are extremely low quality and not providing much value to the community. Try to give high quality answers and the community is more likely to take an interest in your signature.

Obviously everything here is my opinion but a long time ago I was an extremely successful webmaster until googles algo change and i gave it all up.
