Build links pointed to subpages

If I build links pointed to subpages, is it helpful to increase the page rankor quality of our home page?

of course.. because your subpages are still contains your domain name

even you build link your home page and sub pages.. it doesn't matter..

it is important too to focus on subpages so that your subpages will have page rank and backlinks too..

Interesting.  But can you elaborate this. Because according to me if you are building links for your sub pages then it will go to subpage only.. how can it pass to home page?
