Page1 in .com but no ranking in .co.uk

ok, Ive been working with a client for a month or 2 now and I just dont understand why their site is getting page 1 ranking on google.com and every other country but is not anywhere to be seen in google.co.uk.

anyone able to help shed a bit of light on what the problem may be?

It  is the case of different search engine results will varry according to the country if you want your site up in the uk also then you can try to generate the backlinks from the sites of uk. It will help in improving the ranking in uk also.

Well, there is nothing to worry about .com ranking if you are targeting global audience.

But, if you want traffic from UK only, you can optimize your website for specific geographic location...
Here are few tips,
- Get a country specific domain extension
- Set your preferred geographic location in Google webmaster tools
- Get backlinks from websites fro target country
- Participate in forums that are popular in your target country
- Submit your website to local search engines
- Submit your website to local directories
