KidRex is a child-safe search engine powered by Google Custom Search. Searches emphasize kid-related webpages from across the entire web. For example, a search for "space" brings up "NASA Kids Club" as the first search result. The site utilizes Google SafeSearch and maintains its own database of inappropriate websites and keywords.[1] [2] [3] The site is notable for its colorful hand-drawn crayon and colored marker design. In addition to providing kid-centric safe search results, KidRex offers a premium service entitled KidRex Pro, which extends KidRex's filtering to kid's entire web browsing experience, as opposed to just safe search.
